In South Sudan, justice often comes at a cost — one too high for the most vulnerable to afford. We have witnessed, firsthand, far too many men and women imprisoned not because they are guilty, but because they are poor. Their only crime? Lacking the money to hire a lawyer, understand the law, or speak for themselves in a system that often overlooks them. This campaign is to raise urgent funds for Centre for Legal Justice (CFLJ) — a not-for-profit legal organisation we have formed — so we can continue to defend those who have no voice and no support.
Every donation—no matter how small—directly helps someone who would otherwise be forgotten by the justice system. We believe that justice should not be a privilege. It should be a right, equally available to the poor and the powerless.
